The State of Innovation in the Inland Empire
In April 2021, Blended Impact partnered with UCR’s Center for Social Innovation to release the first comprehensive report of the region’s innovation ecosystem. The report analyzed the history of Riverside and San Bernardino counties, key industries and emerging focus areas, and a comprehensive directory of the innovation-focused initiatives and incubators/accelerators.
Blended Impact performed Crunchbase analysis covering all for-profit entities tagged in the Inland Empire hub producing a companion guide covering major funding events and trends, geomapping industry clusters, and other key data used in the report.
The findings of the report were released on a webinar with commentary from leaders at the Milken Institute, the Alliance for SoCal Innovation, LAEDC, Western Riverside Council of Governments, and more.
In September 2022, an updated Inland Empire Ecosystem Highlights supplement was released to share data on private company funding rounds, new developments, emerging entrepreneur opportunities aligned with public goals, and more.
